SENTENCE has been further deferred on a 49-year-old man who was found guilty of two sexual offences.
David Wilson, who gave an address in Carlisle, was convicted of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour and also sexually assaulting a child under 13 years of age in the Borders.
After his conviction following a jury trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in November, sentence was deferred until Thursday for the production of background reports.
But when the case called the requested reports were not available.
Sentence was deferred until January 11 and Wilson’s bail was continued.
