A 32-YEAR-OLD man who was abusive to police officers has been ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
Peter Borland, of Hawick, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing and uttering threatening remarks to the officers at Teviotdale Leisure Centre on Boxing Day, 2021.
At Jedburgh Sheriff Court he was told the sentence was an alternative to a fine and was given six months to complete the work.
