FAILING to provide a sample of blood after being suspected of driving while impaired through drugs resulted in a 12-month ban for Charles O’Brien.
The 41-year-old, of Mossblown, Ayrshire, pleaded guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court to the offence which happened at Borders General Hospital on December 22.
He also admitted driving a van without the proper licence at the Asda car park in Currie Road, Galashiels.
Fines totalling £400 were imposed with a £20 victim surcharge.
