A FREE cyber security workshop will run for Borders-based public and third sector organisations next month.

The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) is taking its well-reviewed Exercise in a Box programme on a roadshow across Scotland.

And the half-day workshop will go ahead in the Borders on March 16 at the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel.

It will focus on incident response and cyber exercising, as well as providing guidance on training employees on the basics of cyber.

Jude McCorry, CEO of the SBRC, said: “Unfortunately no organisation is immune to cyber attacks, which is why we are taking these workshops on the road.

"You don’t need any technical knowledge to help prevent your organisation against a cyber incident, and the workshops have been designed with that in mind. Our ethical hackers will be on hand to answer any questions, too.

“This is a great opportunity to not only update and implement a cyber response plan, but to network with other local organisations with an interest in cyber security. I encourage anyone from the public and third sector in the Borders to sign up quickly as spaces are filling up.”
