A 36-YEAR-OLD man produced a kitchen knife and brandished it during a disturbance in a Borders town, Jedburgh Sheriff Court has been told.
Craig Keegan, who gave an address in Renfrewshire, pleaded guilty to the offence which happened in Eyemouth High Street on August 7.
Depute fiscal Fiona Hamilton said the accused was not from Eyemouth but had been staying in the area and had visited a local bar.

She said that he left the premises and witnesses said an incident developed outside the bar when there was an exchange of words and Keegan was seen brandishing a kitchen knife while challenging others.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said: “These are serious matters, having a knife in a public place.”
He called for background reports to be produced to “see if there was an alternative to custody”.
Sentence was deferred until February 27.
