HIKE & Bike Hub, a new social enterprise established to increase cycling and walking in, and around Galashiels is holding an official open day on Saturday, February 4.
They have taken over the premises at 47 Channel Street, formerly occupied by Conroy’s jewellers.
And from 11am there will be a piper playing and free bike checks available.

Volunteers will offer information about local walking and cycling routes, walk It walks, led cycle rides, bike hire, bike repairs and servicing.
Cycle mechanic will offer bike repairs and maintenance at affordable prices and will also support cyclists who want to learn to do their own repairs and maintenance.

The hub manager will be there to help with any queries about their services or the other facilities available in and around the town.
The Hike and Bike Hub will be “pay what you can” with those who can afford to pay the suggested prices for bike hire, bike servicing and led cycle rides helping to cover those costs for people who cannot.
Winter opening hours will be Thursday to Sunday 10am to 4pm
