THE South has selected its coaching and management team for the forthcoming Scottish Inter-district Championship for the 2022/23 season.
Ewan Swinton (Gala) will be operations manager and Gary Muir (Hawick) will be team manager.
The coaches will be Matty Douglas, of Hawick, Andrew Clark of Musselburgh, Peebles’ Iain Chisholm and Bert Grigg, of Melrose.
The selection panel will be Ali Campbell, from Jed-Forest, and Selkirk’s Ewen Robbie.

The tournament will be played on a knockout basis with the South playing Edinburgh at Netherdale on Tuesday, May 9.
Glasgow will play Caledonia the following weekend and the two winners will play each other with the two defeated teams also playing each other.
The tournament, which is overseen by Scottish Rugby, aims to recognise players who have consistently performed with distinction for their club and give them an opportunity to represent their district.

It also aims to provide an avenue for clubs to work in collaboration, strengthen relationships, and celebrate rugby in the region.
The final aim is to provide a future selection vehicle for the Scotland Club XV International representative.
Further details regarding the Scottish Inter-district Championship will be shared with clubs in due course by each district committee.
