EVIE’S ball takes place tonight. And you still have time to bid for some wonderful prizes.

The black-tie event takes place at the Border Events Centre, Springwood Park, Kelso.

And it’s sure to be a fantastic night featuring the Kilter Ceilidh Music band and organisers hope to raise a much money as possible for Evie’s Batten Journey in addition to widening the awareness of Batten Disease.

Melrose youngster Evie Mitchell was diagnosed with the extremely rare CLN5 variation of Batten Disease in November 2021 and her family have been focused on making sure Evie’s remaining years are happy and comfortable.

They are now developing a safe place for Evie within her home which will be kitted out with various pieces of sensory and therapeutic equipment and adapted as and when her needs change.

Additional work will include changing the Mitchell’s family bathroom into a fully equipped wet room.

And you can help raise critical funds by participating in the auction & raffle prize draw or by making a donation.

The raffle prize draw will close/be made at 8.45pm tonight and the Silent Auction will close at 11.15pm.

More than £11,000 has been pledged so far.
