GALA Boxing Club’s Jack Swaney won his semi-final bout in Boxing Scotland’s Elite Golden Gloves Championships at the Ravenscraig Sports facility in Motherwell earlier today.
Swaney qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Sohaib Anaib (Rob Roy) in his first bout at 86kg last weekend.
And after a seamless display of boxing this afternoon, he secured a unanimous victory over 40-bout veteran David Nelson of the Kingdom Boxing Club.
Using his reach and size advantage he kept Nelson at range and picked him apart round by round and will now progress to the Scottish Golden Gloves Elite Finals on April 15.
