Almost 200 probationary police officers based at the Scottish Police College in Tulliallan in Fife have completed a 5km run to raise money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
The 189 new recruits on initial training course 04/22 took part in the run on Wednesday April 5.

Their 12 weeks of intensive training started on Monday February 20 2023.
And the probationers were sworn into the office of constable during a ceremony at Police Scotland Headquarters, Tulliallan, on Friday 24 February.

The course provides a mixture of theory-based inputs and practical exercises as well as drill, fitness and officer safety training.
Of the new recruits, three were previously members of police staff with Police Scotland while five served as special constables. A further five have served with the armed forces.

Several are likely to be posted to the Scottish Borders
The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which is committed to our vision of a world free of MND, was chosen as the officers chosen charity.
And all money raised at the event will go to helping end MND.
