MP David Mundell passed on good wishes for the coronation from Tweeddale when he met King Charles at the UK Parliament.
He spoke to the monarch during a special reception for parliamentarians held in Westminster Hall on Tuesday.
Mr Mundell said: “I felt privileged to have a chat with the King at such a large gathering and during what must be a very busy week for him.
“I know how fond he is of southern Scotland as has been shown during his visits over many years.”
