Selkirk Sheriff Court
A GALASHIELS man involved in a disturbance at Borders General Hospital has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Forty-five-year-old Neil Gray pleaded guilty to two counts of police assault, obstructing police and threatening or abusive behaviour.
Sheriff Peter Paterson told him that if he had not expressed remorse for the hospital incident he would have been given a jail sentence.
Gray also admitted smashing a window at a friend’s house in an argument about a suit which he had loaned the householder for a funeral.
