A PLANNED Vale of Leithen FC fundraising concert by tribute band ELO Beatles and Beyond scheduled to take place this Saturday at the Memorial Hall in Innerleithen has been cancelled following an accidental fire.
Disco equipment belonging to DJ Layla was damaged during the fire which took place on Saturday May 27.

A full refund will be issued to ticket holders.
A Vale of Leithen FC spokesperson said: “Due to an unfortunate accident on Saturday where Layla’s equipment went on fire she has had to call off the gig.

“As Layla was a major factor in the event we have decided to cancel and will give full refunds to all ticket holders.
“Also, a huge disappointment to the band who were looking forward to the event.”
