THE Tweedbank Fair 2023 kicked off on Saturday with the Chris Doyle Football Festival.
It was hosted by Tweedbank Thistle FC and featured teams from Lauderdale, Kelso, Duns, Earlston, Gala Fairydean Rovers and Vale of Leithen.
Then on Sunday the treasure hunt started at the community centre at noon, and this was followed by the Investiture Ceremony.

This year’s Tweedbank Lad is Archie Barr, the Tweedbank Lass is Ava Evans, the First Attendants are Ethan Fraser and Ava Swan, and Second Attendants are Alex Bell and Katie Deerin.
Their first ‘official’ duties involved exchanging colours with the Gala Braw Lad & Lass, and Attendants.
And the youngsters did the town proud.
On Monday the children's bingo night took place at the Tweedbank Community Centre.
Today (Wednesday, May 31) from 9.30am–11.30am the Tweedbank Early Learners are hosting a garden picnic and open day at the Tweedbank Community Centre garden. Everyone is welcome and those attending are advised to bring a blanket to sit on.
The fancy dress parade takes place tonight at 6.30pm and will be led by the Galashiels Ex-Service Pipe Band. The Melrosian and Tweedbank Principal Party will exchange colours before judging.
The categories are: individual pre-school, individual P1-3, individual P4-7, individual secondary, individual adults, pairs any age, groups any age and community groups.

This will be followed by a disco in the community centre until 10pm with a licensed bar and tuck shop.
On Thursday (June 1) at 1.30pm, the Tweedbank Quiz hosted by P7s will take place at Tweedbank Primary School.
On Friday, between 2-4pm, an afternoon tea with music from George Inglis and the Borders School of Music will be held at the Tweedbank Community Centre.
Adults bingo (Over 18s) takes place at the same venue between 7.30pm-11pm.
The Grand Parade between the Tweedbank Community Centre and Tweedbank Primary School starts at 12.45pm on Saturday.

The parade will be led by the Melrose and District Pipes and Drums Band accompanied by the Tweedbank Lad & Lass with their Attendants in a horse-drawn carriage.
This is followed by the Grand Fete and Rock on the Loch with live musing from Fahrenheit from 1.30pm. There will also be a penalty shootout, a fun run around the loch (2.45pm) and a raffle (4pm).
