IT will be all about the dogs at Traquair later this month when an annual event takes place.
The much-loved A Dog’s Day Out sees pooches from all over the Borders and beyond flock to Peeblesshire for a day of activities.
The day ends with the presentation of the Daphne Memorial Cup, which is awarded to Best Dog in Show.
A spokesperson said: “On the avenue there will be a superb gun dog demonstration with Mordor Gundogs. In the courtyard the Bow Wow Mini Circus will be showing off some fabulous tricks and fun as well.
“Up in the Walled Garden there will be a selection of dog-related stalls and charities with everything from doggy treats to designer dog coats and accessories.
“The Companion Dog Show is always a highlight with classes for dogs with the Most Appealing Eyes, Scruffiest Dog, Best Rescue Dog and Friendliest Dog. Then, for better trained dogs, there are obedience classes including: Longest Stay Down, Best Retrieving Dog and a Best Junior Handler class. The most hotly contested class is Fastest Sausage Eater where the greediest dogs are top of the class.”
It takes place at Traquair House on Sunday, July 21, from 11am-5pm.
