PLANS have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council for a commercial storage yard in Peebles comprising of 80 containers.
The site with associated works is earmarked for land west of Tweedview, South Parks Industrial Estate.
This application, from Colin Noble, of Cupar-based Peggyslea Farm Partners, follows a request for pre-application advice over the proposals made to SBC in April.
A submission with the application says: “The proposal is to site up to 80 storage containers and create a landscaped bund along the western and southern sides of the application site.
“New palisade fencing would be erected. It is proposed to mount lighting on the corners of the containers to keep light at a low level.
“The lighting would be motion-activated or on a timer so it would come on only when required.”
