A MOTORIST stopped on the A68 in Jedburgh’s Bongate was found to be over the drug-drive limit.
Fifty-one-year-old Steven Harris, of North Shields, pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to the offence which happened on February 29.
He also admitted being in possession of £5 worth of cannabis.
Harris was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
He was admonished on the possession charge.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said: “This highlights the dangers of smoking cannabis as it stays in your system for longer.”
