EXPANSION is being pitched at a caravan park in Coldingham.
Highview Caravan Park was purchased two years ago by its current owners Horizon Holiday Parks.
Since then, the operators have been tidying up, making repairs and updating the existing pitches, infrastructure and facilities to improve conditions for the residents and to start to bring it up to the same standard as the three other parks in its ownership.
Now expansion is on the agenda with an application to Scottish Borders Council to change the use of land to form 30 hard-standing pitches with access roads for touring caravans/motorhomes.
Additionally, the application incorporates the erection of 20 camping pods and the installation of five additional pitches with access road for static caravans.
A report with the application states: “The proposals will enable Highview Caravan Park to attract a wider spread of holidaymakers who will want to make the park their regular holiday destination, which will support the local economy and increase tourism within the Scottish Borders.”
