Two Post Offices in the Borders are to be replaced with a mobile service.
The West Linton and Newtown St Boswells Post Offices will join the existing mobile service provided by the Denholm postmaster.
The West Linton Post Office will close on Friday, October 11 after the resignation of the long-serving postmaster.
The office will re-open as a temporary mobile service on Wednesday, October 16 as a permanent solution is sought.
The service will operate from outside the current location on Main Street, operating on Wednesdays between the hours of 9.30am and 1.30pm.
The Newtown St Boswells Post Office currently inside the Scottish Borders Council Headquarters will be replaced by a mobile Post Office.
The service will visit the car park of the council headquarters from October 14 operating during the following hours:
Monday- 3.15pm- 4.15pm
Thursday- 3pm- 4.30pm
Friday- 2.30pm- 4.30pm
Customers have the opportunity to give feedback on the changes up until October 15.

The Post Office has said they have taken “a comprehensive review of the branch network” to ensure they meet the needs of customers in “a very challenging economic climate”.
To accommodate the new mobile services there will be changes to the current operating times of mobile services.
These changes will take effect from Monday, October 14 with the updated hours listed on the post office visit.
