A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy and 30-year-old woman were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A68 just before 11 o’clock this morning.

Police say the woman was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence but enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.55am on Tuesday, 14 July, 2026, we received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A68 at St Boswells.

“Emergency services attended, and seven-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman were taken to hospital for assessment.

“The woman was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries remain ongoing.”
