A gripping Irish drama has been confirmed to be returning for a third series, with fans "excited" for its come back.
Fans of the crime drama Kin will be happy to hear it will be coming back for a third series after its co-producers Bron Studios went bust.
The series follows a fictional Dublin family who are involved in a gangland war, with it first airing in 2021.
It quickly became one of the most-watched series in Ireland and was acquired by the BBC in 2023, with viewers able to stream seasons one and two on BBC iPlayer.
Kin confirmed for third series
Before the confirmation of the third series, one of the show’s stars, Emmett J. Scanlan, who plays Jimmy Kinsella in the series, revealed there had been a "bidding war" for the show.
Speaking to Radio Times, he said: "There are a lot of people who are interested in buying it, so I believe.
"But who it's going to be and where it's going to land, I have no idea.
"I try to remain as positive as possible.
"I love the show and am so proud to have been a part of it.
"If indeed we come back for a season three – and I know the numbers on BBC iPlayer were insane – I'll be there in a heartbeat."
Alongside Emmett, the show also features Charlie Cox, who you might recognise from Daredevil, and Clare Dunne, who has also starred in 500 Miles.
The synopsis for the new series reads: "KIN Season three reunites the nation with the Kinsella crime family.
"As they consolidate power, buried betrayals and festering rivalries turn inward, and the greatest threat to the family empire becomes the family itself."
A release date for the crime drama has not been set yet.
