Britain’s best-known explorers are swapping the wilderness for the city for an event on London’s South Bank.
Broadcaster Ben Fogle, TV explorer Monty Halls, polar explorer Preet Chandi MBE, endurance cyclist Sarah Ruggins, naturalist Jim Moir, and singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan are among the adventurers sharing stories and inspiration at Dacia’s free, two-day City Escape.
The event, held at Bernie Spain Gardens until July 24, is headlined by the UK public debut of the all-new Dacia Striker.
Dacia brand director for the UK, Lina Ribeiro, said: "Adventure isn't always about travelling thousands of miles or climbing the highest mountains.
"Sometimes it's simply about stepping outside, trying something different, and seeing familiar places with fresh eyes.
"City Escape brings together people who have spent their lives exploring the world to inspire others to embrace everyday adventure, while also giving the public the first opportunity to discover the new Dacia Striker."

The launch celebration included Preet Chandi MBE, Monty Halls, and Sarah Ruggins, who helped kick off the event ahead of two days of workshops, outdoor activities, and hands-on experiences.
Visitors can enjoy a packed schedule of storytelling and activities inspired by life beyond the city.
Fogle is inviting families to put their navigation skills to the test in an outdoor detective trail based on real-life expeditions.
Halls will discuss the value of switching off digital devices to reconnect with nature.
Chandi, who became the first woman of colour to complete a solo, unsupported expedition to the South Pole, will share insights into the resilience needed for survival in one of the world’s most unforgiving environments.
Cyclist Sarah Ruggins will recount her journey from long-term illness to record-breaking endurance achievements.
Naturalist Jim Moir will host a live Q&A, celebrating the UK’s growing interest in birdwatching and highlighting the often-overlooked wildlife found in urban areas.
As the sun sets, Lucy Spraggan will perform an acoustic set and talk about the role nature plays in inspiring her music.
Hands-on activities at the event include remote-controlled Dacia Sandrider rallies, navigation challenges, clue hunts, VR mountain experiences, and foraging workshops.
Visitors also have the chance to explore the all-new Dacia Striker before it arrives at UK dealers.
The electrified crossover, expected to start at under £25,000, combines estate practicality with the efficiency of a saloon and the raised driving position of an SUV, while staying true to Dacia’s reputation for value.
