Aldi has unveiled a new list of 25 locations across the country where it is looking to open new stores as part of its expansion.
The supermarket chain, which is aiming to reach 1,500 stores nationwide, has revealed a list of new priority locations across the UK.
Aldi is seeking sites that are freehold, leasehold, or long leasehold, in prominent locations with good visibility and easy access.

Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said: "We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we’re focused on identifying the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.
"Opening new stores in these areas means we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay."
The full list of the latest 25 priority locations across the UK where Aldi wants to build new stores is:

- Blantyre, South Lanarkshire
- Canvey Island, Essex
- Chaddesden, Derbyshire
- Cleethorpes Old Clee Middlethorpe Road, Lincolnshire
- Croxteth, Merseyside
- Exeter Central, Devon
- Falkirk Central, Falkirk
- Gateshead – Team Valley, Tyne and Wear
- Guildford, Surrey
- Harrogate, North Yorkshire
- Hereford, Herefordshire
- Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
- Leeds Horsforth Low Lane, West Yorkshire
- Lincoln, Lincolnshire
- Monmouth, Monmouthshire
- Newcastle (Central), Tyne and Wear
- Oxford, Oxfordshire
- Plymouth West, Devon
- St Albans, Hertfordshire
- Woking, Surrey
- Whitby, North Yorkshire
- Warwick, Warwickshire
- Walthamstow, London
- Bath, Somerset
The expansion plan is part of a broader investment of more than £370 million in new stores this year.
This follows a recent £40 million commitment to London, where eight new stores are set to open this year.
The company says new openings will deliver hundreds of jobs, from store assistants to managerial positions.
Aldi remains the UK’s highest-paying supermarket, with store assistants starting at £13.50 per hour nationally and £14.88 within the M25.
Pay rises further with length of service.

Aldi is seeking freehold, leasehold or long-leasehold sites in prominent locations with good visibility and access.
The retailer is calling on landowners and property agents to put forward suitable sites.
