A ROCK spillage on a busy section of the M74 is causing tailbacks.
The incident has occurred southbound at junction 3a Daldowie, close to Uddingston.
Traffic Scotland raised the alarm at around 10am.

The team wrote on Twitter: “#M74 S/B J3a Daldowie is now ⛔️CLOSED⛔️ to clear a rock spillage from the carriageway. Sweeper en-route, traffic is queuing up on approach.”

Queues went further back a short time later as the route was closed off.

The area was cleared by around 11am.
