In his desperate plea for information, Joe had written on Facebook: “This is my son James Anderson. He went on a work’s night out on Tuesday night to Glasgow and hasn’t been seen since.

“We have had no contact from James which isn’t like him. We are extremely worried. If anyone can help, please contact myself or his mum Sharon. Or the police on 101 as they are aware of the situation. Thanks.”

However, breaking the devastating news a short time later, Joe said: “I can’t believe I am having to write this but, unfortunately, it’s been confirmed James has passed away.
