LOCAL businesses have been keeping the next generation fit and healthy by sponsoring football camps during the summer.
Peebles-based CG Elite hosted training camps throughout the school break for children of all ages.
And two of the week-long camps - at either end of the holidays - were sponsored by local companies So Stobo and Holland & Sherry.
Chris Anderson from CG Elite told us: "We always try to keep the costs of our coaching sessions as low as we can but it is still great that we can offer two whole weeks of coaching for free.
"We can't thank Stobo and Holland & Sherry enough for making sport even more affordable by sponsoring two of the weeks."
More than 30 youngsters took part in the final session at Whitestone Park which ran last week.
Chris added: "Everyone had a great time and we're already counting down the days until our next coaching sessions."
