THERE doesn't appear to be any stopping Carnethy's Eoin Lennon during this winter's Borders Cross Country Series.

The Northern Irish international has already showed his class at Lauder and Dunbar.

And on Sunday he once again broke the tape at the Peebles leg - beating Mark Shankey of Hunter Bog Trotters by nine seconds.

Lucas Cheskin from Peebles, who now runs for the Shettleston club, was a further 30 seconds back to take an impressive third place.

Gala Harrier veteran Graeme Murdoch finished well to claim fourth place.

The Ladies race was won by Dalkeith's Lisa Macdonald.

A further 35 seconds back in second was Claire Gordon of the Hunter Bog Trotters club with Sara Green of Gala Harriers claiming third, just six seconds later.

A total of 216 athletes completed the tough five miles course.

The junior race, which is held within the confides of Haylodge Park, was won by Gregor Collins of Gala Harriers.

The teenager finished strongly to hold off the challenge from East Lothian's Joe Donnelly, with Cameron Fordyce sprinting home to take third.

Flora Henry triumphed yet again in the girls race, crossing the finishing line 23 seconds ahead of Teviotdale Harrier Iona Jameson.

Giffnock's Melissa McIntosh claimed this place.

A total of 125 juniors finished the one-and-a-half miles course.
