MIDLEM'S Zoe Pflug reached the top of the podium on Saturday at the Scottish Short-Course Cross Country Championships.
The student, who was selected to run for Scotland earlier this year, helped Edinburgh University to first team with her individual eighth place finish out of the 251 starters at Kirkcaldy.
Highest other local finisher was Gala Harrier Sara Green in 37th.
Darrell Hastie from Gala Harriers was also 37th, behind Andrew Butchart, out of the 435 starters in the men's race.
Gala's Anna Fairclough and Isla Paterson faired well in the Under 15s Girls race, finishing 16th and 18th respectively.
And there was an impressive run from Teviotdale's Conan Harper to claim eighth place in the Boys Under 15s.
Gregor Collins from Gala Harriers was highest local finisher in the Men's Under 17s race, crossing the line in 17th.
And Maisie Ballantyne from Teviotdale, in 33rd, was the first local runners home in the Women's Under 17s.
