TEENAGER Charlotte Clare added to her winter's medal haul at the weekend with a further gold and silver in the Scottish Indoor Championships.

The Moorfoot athlete from Peebles won a thrilling Under 20s 1500 metres title at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

Charlotte, who is trained by Gregor Nicholson, managed to outsprint Edinburgh's Katie Johnson on the home straight to win in a time of 4.33.53.

But the following day the places were reversed with Johnson just edging the Under 20s 800 metres final by half a stride.

Emma Brus from the Tweed Leader club finished sixth in the final of the 800.

Peebles jumper Kate Harvie had to settle for two silver medals.

The Linda Nicholson-coached athlete was runner-up in the Under 15s triple jump with a distance of 10.85 metres.

And she followed it up with another second place in the Under 15s high jump with a height of 1.54 metres.

Gala's Ross Christie also collected a silver medal as he cleared 1.44 metres in the Under 13s high jump to finish just behind Kilmarnock's Ross Mitchell.

Cardrona's Ellie O'Hara had to settle for bronze in the Under 20s long jump with a distance of 5.40 metres behind Edinburgh's Molly Reville.

Imogen Lewis from Peebles just missed out on a medal by three centimetres with a best distance of 11.01metres in the Under 20s triple jump.
