Borders middle-distance athlete Chris O'Hare has ended his summer season on a high after finishing second in the world-class Fifth Avenue Mile through the streets of New York.
Huge crowds lined the street to watch an international field which featured many finalists from the World Championships 1500 metres.
Chris, who narrowly failed to reach the finals in Beijing last month, crossed the finishing line about five metres behind New Zealand's Nick Willis.
The 24-year-old from West Linton was a metre ahead of Norway's Henrik Ingebrigston and American champion Matthew Centrowitz.
