PEEBLESHIRE athletes Dean Whiteford and Samantha Turnbull were the toasts of the track at the weekend.
Both Dean from Innerleithen and Samantha from Peebles won prestigious Athlete of the Year trophies at the Scottish Highland Games Association dinner.
Middle-distance specialist Whiteford was voted the 2015 SHGA Athlete of the Year.
The mechanic also topped the season-long league for races of 800 metres or above.
Schoolgirl Samantha, who is coached by her dad Neil, was crowned the 2015 Young Female Athlete of the Year.
Samantha also finished third in the Up to 400 metres youth league during the season.
The awards evening was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel in Glenrothes.
Amongst the other awards winners was Selkirk's Geoff Keen, who collected the SHGA Veteran Athlete of the Year.
