SUNDAY'S seventh and final leg of this winter's Borders Cross Country Series was cancelled due to the snow.
But the Chirnside Chasers club, who were organising the races, will stage the event this weekend.
Drifts of up to 10-feet were recorded on parts of the course during an inspection on Friday and it was anticipated several roads leading to the village would still be closed.
Around 300 senior and junior athletes have competed at each of the previous six rounds.
And even more were expected for Chirnside, where the presentation of prizes will take place.
Organisers have announced the races will now go ahead this Sunday, with the juniors going off at 11.30am and the seniors at noon.
