WEST Linton was heady with the scent of flowers - and much anticipation - as judging of entries began for the 2016 village show.
Although the recent rains had tried to hamper local growing efforts, the village gardeners, cooks and handicraft enthusiasts managed once again to turn out an amazing array of exhibits in the Graham Institute.
The Women’s Rural Institute laid on teas and coffees, and looked after the handicrafts section.
The sun tried to shine and West Linton locals and visitors once again enjoyed the day.
