ESHIELS Community Recycling Centre will be closed for three days next month while important maintenance work is carried out.
The closure of the facility near Peebles will come into effect on Monday, October 3 and last until Wednesday, October 5.
Councillor David Paterson, Scottish Borders Council’s Executive Member for Environmental Services, said: "We appreciate that some local residents will experience disruption from this three-day closure.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but the Council has endeavoured to keep the closure to a minimum.
"While Eshiels is closed, local people can take their waste to the nearest recycling centres at Galashiels or Selkirk."
