A PLANNED speed check for drivers near Innerleithen before Christmas was thwarted by faulty equipment, it has emerged.
Councillor Graham Garvie told last Monday’s Innerleithen Community Council that the speed checks had yet to be carried out.
Meanwhile, the meeting heard that a request has been made for painted ‘SLOW’ signs on the road either side of Traquair Kirk.
Signage has also been requested to warn drivers of walkers on the road along the Innerleithen stretch of the Southern Upland Way, ending at Traquair Kirk.
