MORE than 250 people stepped out in the summer sunshine to support a Peeblesshire garden’s fundraising sale last Sunday (May 28).
The Friends of Dawyck raised £1,779 from a plant sale at Dawyck Botanic Garden in Stobo – collecting £369 more than at last year’s event.
The money raised will go towards the Small Project Fund, a plant mapping and labelling project at Dawyck, now in its third year.
Stalls were filled with many varieties of plants, plus some unusual specimens not normally available in garden centres.
While attending the sale many visitors took time to stroll around the garden at their leisure and spent time in the café.
The Friends of Dawyck are set to hold their next plant sale in October.
