THE Lady Boys of Bangkok are bringing their lavish new production to Peebles.
Flamboyant mainstays of the Edinburgh Fringe each year, the Lady Boys are currently touring with their brand new show, Who Runs the World!
And it is coming to the Eastgate Theatre next month.
The cabaret show is performed by glamorous showgirls like no other showgirls – all are male Thai nationals (apart from Trever who is from Lancashire).
The group is hoping to bring the seductiveness of Hollywood and the stylish glitz of Las Vegas to meet the traditions of a classic British music hall.
They pay tribute to a host of stars ranging from Beyoncé, Rhianna and Nicki Minaj to Gloria Gaynor, Boy George, Pitbull, Tom Jones, Queen Latifah and many more.
Throw in 450 designer-inspired, hand-sewn costumes plus the Lady Boys’ trade-mark feathers, and it’s the complete cabaret show.
The will take place at the Eastgate Theatre on Wednesday, July 12, with shows at 5.30pm and 8pm.
