A WOMAN has been charged with careless driving after a pensioner was crushed between two vehicles in Earlston, earlier this month.
It is believed the injured woman was accessing her car boot last Saturday when another vehicle struck her.
Firefighters said they worked to free the 66-year-old and she was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, suffering from leg injuries.
Crews were alerted to Melrose Road just after 6.50pm on Saturday, September 15.
A 48-year-old woman has now been charged in connection with the incident.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
