GALA Fairydean Rovers hosted a festival of football for girls from across the Borders at their Netherdale stadium on Sunday (December 4).
More than 200 youngsters took part in the event which ran from 10am-12.30pm.
A healthy crowd turned out to watch despite the cold weather and occasional showers.
Teams from Galashiels, Melrose, Coldstream, Innerleithen, Langholm, Earlston, Lauder, Eyemouth and West Linton took part with goals galore and some fine football on display.
Five under-8 teams played a series of four-a-side matches.
At under-10 level, ten teams played a number of seven-a-side matches and at under-12 level nine teams competed in seven-a-side matches.
The day was a huge success and all the players left with smiles on their faces.
