Police Scotland are searching for witnesses
A MAN has been assaulted while walking on a Peebles street, according to police.
The incident happened on Eastgate at around 6.15pm on Tuesday (January 23) near a bus stop, say officers.
The 42-year-old did not require medical treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We believe a number of people were in the area at the time and ask anyone who can assist officers with their enquiries to get in touch. Please call 101, quoting incident number 1239 of January 24, 2024."
