CARS at a Peeblesshire car park have had several items stolen from them in two incidents in recent weeks. 

Between 12.45pm and 4pm on Thursday, March 28 items including clothing, bags, money and bank cards were stolen from a black Peugeot 2008 parked within Neidpath Castle car park in Peebles.

Then on Friday, April 5 between 1.45pm and 4pm a red Honda CRV was targeted and a brown leather bag was stolen.

Police in the town are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone who has any information in relation to either of these crimes is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 2212 5th April.
