SANTA took time out of his very busy diary to pay a special visit to pupils in Peebles this week.

ON Wednesday morning, he asked the girls and boys of Kingsland’s P1, 2 and 3 classes what they all hoped to get for Christmas.

He also explained a bit about his reindeer and thanked Mr McMorran for looking after them while he was at the school.

Each class teacher had to pass the “I’ve been good” detector test, before getting a special gift from Santa. Thankfully nobody failed, although Mr Wilson came close!

Santa then handed over the special class presents provided by the Parent Council’s Leisure and Social Committee who also funded the class parties which have been taking place each afternoon this week.

Before waving goodbye Santa got the pupils to sing “Jingle Bells” as he rang his bell as he was leaving.

The Primary 7 classes got together for their party on Tuesday evening and had a really enjoyable time with their guests who joined in the dancing and games.
