The region produces some of the most delicious food in the country, much of it unique to this corner of the world.
The Borders landscape is rich in diversity, from the rolling Southern Uplands to the beautiful Berwickshire coast – a region which is home to farmers and cooks deeply committed to producing food of outstanding quality. On our doorstep, we can buy farm cheeses, organic breads and bannock, tasty meats and charcuterie and fresh berries and vegetables to eat at home. Visitors to the Borders look to enjoy regional fare on the menus of the many excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants.
This October, the Scottish Borders Food and Drink Network will be producing and distributing 20,000 copies of a free Directory, listing all of the region’s producers, shops, delicatessens and eateries – bringing together a single source of where to buy and where to eat local food. If you would like to have your business listed, it costs nothing but a few moments of time to submit your details. For information, contact: info@bordersfoodnetwork.co.uk
