Sir, It All started on Wednesday, May 14 when my name was announced as Beltane Queen 2014. The quickest week of my life has passed and there are so many people I would like to thank.

Firstly my mum and dad for all their love and support in the run up to and during Beltane week. A big thank you to the Peebles March Riding and Beltane Queen Festival Committee, especially the chairman Alastair Dodds for his support, my headteacher Mrs Wilson, who was appointed Warden of Neidpath this year, for all her support and thank you to all the costume ladies and court trainers who gave so much of theur time to make my week so special.

I will treasure my beautiful bracelet that I was given on Beltane Saturday morning.

I would also like to thank Cornet Kevin and his Lass Sharon and all their supporters for getting me home safely. Being walked home home with Peebles Ex-Servicemen’s Band and Peebles Silver Band made me very proud and I would like to thank them as well.

Can I thank all the P7 children from Kingsland, Priorsford and Halyrude schools for the beautiful pendant they gave me.

Thank you to Mrs Anne Snoddy for being a fantastic Crowning Lady and Rev Jim Benton-Evans for his lovely sermon at the Cross Kirk and Forsyths the bakers for the lovely cake that was sent to Kingsland for my party.

To everyone who has helped, sent cards, presents and for their good wishes, can I thank you all for making Beltane week 2014 a week I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I am, etc.
