THE annual Lofty Memorial Cup was contested on Saturday at a sunny Netherdale.
And it was Peebles who emerged winner following some exciting matches.
The Primary 7 tournament was held in a round-robin format with teams from Gala, Berwick, Kelso, Melrose and Peebles.
The teams all played each other and were ranked after their four games with the top two competing for the Lofty Cup.
The third and fourth placed teams competed for therBowl.
Peebles beat Kelso in an exciting final to win the Cup.
It was the home team of Gala who saw off Melrose to lift the Bowl.
