PEEBLES Piranhas were in the limelight yet again on Saturday.

But this time the triumphant Primary 7 squad had to settle for second best.

Following victory in last month's East of Scotland tournament a large squad from the P7 Piranhas travelled to Murrayfield for the national finals.

And there was the added bonus of witnessing Edinburgh in action.

Following an initial close defeat to Linlithgow due to ball handling issues, the Peebles squad went on the beat Currie, Stirling County, Perth, Kelso, Kinross and Watsonians.

Following a count on tries Peebles came cruelly second to the Kinross team that they had beaten convincingly during the tournament.

Well done to all of the boys for such a valiant display.

Despite this the boys enjoyed the chat with Edinburgh Pro players and even managed a chat with the cheerleaders.
