Watsonians started the stronger of the two sides with a lot of early pressure resulting in several penalty corners. The Peebles defence of L McAllister, C Dick and L Aitchison, along with stand-in goalkeeper H Horsburgh, worked well together to keep them out.

It wasn’t long however until Watsonians were on the score sheet with two goals in quick succession from open play giving them an early lead. Keen to keep up their unbeaten record this season Peebles replied by pushing forward. In particular new recruit K Stevens showed talent in her attacking play up the wing. Peebles pulled a goal back just before half time with a great individual goal from S Glendinning.

Lifted by their goal, Peebles play improved in the second half. Much of the play being created up the left side through E Thomas and J Cook. D Clark showed a return to form with a strong strike from the top of the circle pulling the score back to 2-2. However Watsonians were not keen to share the points and took the lead again shortly after with a penalty corner goal.

Peebles sealed the draw just minutes from time with a second goal from D Clark set up by S Glendinning.

Peebles would like to thank S Barrett and S Lobb for umpiring.
