CLYDESDALE Folk Club is delighted to welcome for a first visit, the delightful French singer Flossie Malavialle.
Flossie is now based in the north east of England, having come there in 2001 on a teaching exchange visit. She had already done some singing in France but when she decided to settle in the UK she started singing locally in folk clubs. From there her career took off and she now has 10 albums to her credit.
Her wonderful, clear voice and warm style makes her a popular performer, whether singing songs in her native language such as those of Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel or in English, covering songs by varied performers such as Simon and Garfunkel, Kris Kristofferson, Eva Cassidy and Janis Joplin to name but a few.
In short, a varied range of songs will be on offer. Visit Flossie’s website at www.flossie-malavialle.co.uk This concert will be at the Elphinstone Hotel, Biggar, on Thursday, April 24 at 8pm.
