Pearce Mary Mercer (Walkerburn) Peacefully at Hay Lodge Hospital, Peebles, on 3rd May 2020, after a long illness bravely borne, Mae Pearce, beloved wife of Eric, dear mother to Christine, Linda and Judith, mother-in-law of Robin, Franco and Grant and loving gran to Scott, Leanne, Remo, Laura, Liam and Rachel and great-gran to Daniella. Funeral private due to restrictions.

I've only just seen this announcement today -- two-and-a half years later. My mum, Elma Murray, spoke often about Mae and her family growing up together in the Peebles - Walkerburn area. My wife, Ruby, and I were lucky enough to see her and Eric in 2013 and had a wonderful time connecting with them. Our thoughts are with Eric and their children. Thank you for giving her a loving, fulfilling life.

I am he grandaughter of Andrew Milne, formerly of HIllcrest, Caberston Avenue. My mother, Joan Milne,spoke fondly of both yourself Eric and Mae. I now reside in Walkerburn - a very changed place - but those in the village who knew Mae will very much miss her.
