Carolyn Kelley April 5th, 2023
Long years ago I met Binkie and her beloved Peter at Cabbage Hall in Peebles. They were SERVAS hosts and I a weary traveler, fortunate enough to stay were bright. From their well-used mud room to thousands of post cards lovingly strung in the hallways and on double bannisters, to their beautiful pantry and gardens, kitchen's warmth and welcoming herbs and flowers, there was no corner untouched by the richness of their lives. Their photo greets me every day in my own kitchen, a welcome reminder of lives well-lived and loved. If you are still with us Peter, thank you for your hospitality. Especially the care you showed my son, Scotland, when you helped him create his own peeries and a witch in your home wood shop while I ran through the Peebles countryside. My heart breaks to think of Juliet's death, but rejoices in gratitude for her life, and yours. Most sincerely and lovingly, Carolyn Kelley, Seattle, Washington
